Abstract

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is something extremely new and challenging. As a part of a strong effort looking toward a consolidation of Chinese power in the international scenario, the initiative is moving fast with all challenges, suspicions and critics (especially arising from the westerns analysts). What China is proposing is more than a revolutionary infrastructure project and that is the point. How can BRI move forward being such a giant step without any other example in a recent history? How can China prepare itself for the big challenges and conflicts that it will face on the way?
