In the afternoon of January 9th, 2019, a delegation of ten deputies of the Chile-China Interparliamentary Group of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, which is led by Mr. Fidel Edgardo Espinosa Sandoval (Ex-president, Chamber of Deputies of Chile), President, Mrs. María Loreto Carvajal Ambiado, Vice President, and Mr. Ignacio Concha, Consul General of Chile in Shanghai, visited the Fudan Development Institute (FDDI) and conducted a symposium about international cooperation at university level between China and Chile. CHENG Jin, inspector of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), WANG Junwei, director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee, and Chilean student representatives at Fudan University also attended the symposium.
XU Lei, Vice President of Fudan University, ZHANG Yi, Executive Vice Dean of FDDI, and CHEN Yinzhang, Secretary General of FDDI warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the history and international strategies of the Fudan University, the FDDI and the Fudan-Latin America University Consortium. During the symposium, representatives of both sides exchanged ideas on the possibility of visiting and building up cooperation between Fudan University and Chilean universities in various regions of Chile.
